Pre-Sale Questions

"What are the benefits of owning a website?"
That really depends on you and your business or organization. You can reach a wide audience, have a centralized declaration of your ideals, or you can sell your products from the website.
"How much will my website cost?"
This depends on you and your unique needs. The cost will vary based upon what you need the website to do. If you simply need a visual look and basic content management, then the cost will be low. However, if you need a great deal of custom functionality, the cost rises based upon how much time must be spent on development.

"What do the costs of a design cover?"
This depends on what your site will need. You will receive a unique custom design with unlimited initial appearance revisions. A custom designed logo if needed or desired. All of the unique functionality that is desired and agreed upon. The setup and installation of the website on your server. Also anything else agreed upon in your initial consultation.
"Have you ever built a website like mine before?"
Over the years we have been doing web design, we have built every type of website imaginable. No idea is so unique that it has never been attempted before. Rest assured that we can and will develop your vision, provided you can articulate it properly.
"I have an existing website, but I would like it to look better. Can you help?"
Indeed we can! We will just need the information on the current design and what you want changed or improved.
"How long will it take for my website to be designed and built?"
That depends on a few different things. We will usually have first draft of the sites look within 3 business days. After approval of design look and features, the coding begins. This can vary in time depending on what functionality you desire.
"I have a small business and would like a website for it. Where do I start?"
You can start by contacting us for a free consultation! We will assess your needs based upon what type of business you have and your desires, and then advise you based upon those factors.
"What information should I have ready when ordering a website?"
This very important step will determine the outcome of your website. You will need to have the information needed to articulate your vision to us. Once we know what you desire, we can formulate a design document. This design document will then act as our guideline when creating your website. It will also be used to draw up the contract for your work. Without this important information, how could we build what you envision?
"What makes you any different from the many other web design companies out there?"
To be blunt, our artistic vision is better than the competition. Our dedication to clients is unmatched in the industry. We are meticulous in all aspects of our work, and we are very affordable considering such quality.

Design Questions

"I would like a website created. What details are needed for the initial design?"
You will need to provide us with a desired look and feel of the website in question. We need as much information about your product or industry as possible, and how you envision your final site. Things like: color, font choices, layout and logo are all up to you. If you would like for us to do the thinking for you, it will add to the final cost of the website.
"How much creative input do I have on the project?"
All of the input you desire! It is your site after all right? When we are in the design mockup phase, you can suggest and alter anything. However, once the design is finalized any changes desired will be subject to additional cost. So please be 100% sure before you agree on a final look for your website!

"Can I change my mind about things mid development?"
While we frown upon this practice for many reasons, you have the freedom to do so. However, please be aware that any alteration desired after the contract is signed will be subject to additional cost. This is because a quoted price is based upon work involved. When you change the labor that goes into creating the website, you change the cost.
"Do you write my website text for me?"
Not usually. How could we possibly know your business better than you do? However, if you truly need unique writing done we can handle it. The cost will be based upon a standard of $5.00 (five US dollars) per every 100 words written.
"What hosting information do you need to begin work on my site?"
We will need the FTP and control panel log-in to your web hosting account. This info is provided by your hosting company when you purchase hosting. If you do not have hosting and a domain, you must purchase it before we can begin putting the site together.
"If I currently don’t have web hosting or I am unhappy with my current host, can you host my website?"
Yes we can host your website for you, at an affordable rate. As with any hosting plan, there is a monthly service charge associated with it. The charge depends on the type of hosting you desire. We suggest you shop around before committing to our hosting plans, so you have an idea of what to expect. If you would like to host with us you can sign up on our hosting page.
"What about securing a domain? Can you help us register it? Do you manage domains for your clients?"
Yes, we can acquire and manage your domain right along with your hosting. If the name is available we can register it and tie it into your hosting account, whether it is hosted with us or not.

After Sale Questions

"Once built, who owns the website design and graphics used in it?"
You do of course! Once we are paid, the ownership of all work we have done becomes your property. Upon final payment the contract is considered fulfilled and all rights to your website are then yours for life.
"Can I make updates to my site myself once it is in my hands? What if I don’t know any HTML?"
We design every website we create with content management in mind. In this day and age content management systems make updating and running a website far easier than most would think. If you can use a program like Microsoft Word to format text, or upload pictures to your Facebook account, you can manage and maintain your website. It really is that simple!

"I don't have the time, can you maintain my website for me after the design work is finished?"
Yes indeed! We understand that some business owners do not have the time or staff to handle administration of a website. That is why we offer a website support service, for customers who would rather let us handle the task of running their site. We can tailor a solution for your unique needs, based on time needed to maintain your site properly.
"What do I need to drive customers to my website?"
That question falls outside of the realm of website design, but we understand it is a concern of modern business. The simple answer is: You need to rank in the search engines for specific keywords that relate to your industry or niche. We optimize your website by default so they are 100% search engine friendly, but that is not enough. You need Search Engine Optimization services for assistance with ranking, which is not part of design.
"Without SEO services, how long will it be before the search engines rank my site?"
That is hard to answer, as there are many factors to consider. What industry are you in? What keywords do you wish to target? Are you already an established brand in offline business? Those are just a few of the factors involved. Your website will be indexed within a couple of weeks after your site goes live, but there is no telling where in the index. That is where off-page SEO comes in, and if you don't partake of SEO services, it is completely out of your hands.
